  These are 6-Part Consecutive Class
 
Parents or Legal Guardians must attend all classes with child

If the parent/guardian AND child DO NOT show up and the child is school, court or law enforcement mandated, the child can be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

If you register and do not attend, you will not be able to reschedule for the next month's session. You will need to contact the Program Director or Case Manager to schedule an appointment.

Registration; Movie “In an Instant” 30 minutes, regarding children’s burn issues and the affect on the family and community; interview children about their fire(s); homework for parents and children.

Session 2:

Anti-Drug presented by the National Guard; Gang Prevention & Information presented by Metro Gang Unit; Life of Crime presented by Henderson Municipal Court and Henderson Police Department.

Sessions 3 & 4:

Information, intervention, education & dealing with choices & consequences, in a classroom environment. The program is based on building developmental assets for both youth & parent. The program works on high risk issues, not just fire issues.

Session 5:
UMC Burn Center
1800 W. Charleston Blvd, 1000 Bldg, 3rd Floor,
Las Vegas, NV 89102

A scheduled one-on-one life safety education session, followed by a tour of the Trauma and Burn Centers, under the supervision of the Burn & Outreach Coordinator, a registered RN.

Session 6:
Center for Health & Learning

A scheduled appointment with the Center for Health & Learning, screening for anger, depression, suicide and other high risk issues; this may lead to additional counseling for the youth and their family.
Time:
4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Please arrive on time
Doors open no earlier than 3:45pm and are closed at 4:15pm
